| Abstract [eng] |
The object of the analysis of the Master’s Work is the EU structural assistance allocated to the transport (specifically railways, seaport and airports) sector in Lithuania in 2007-2013. These investments are analysed according to the effectiveness and impact criteria with the intention to provide proposals which will be useful while programming investments for the next period 2014-2020 and improving implementation and monitoring of projects. The first part of Master’s Work provides retrospective and theoretical analysis of the EU structural assistance which is finalised by introducing theoretical model of economic, social, and environmental impacts of the EU structural assistance in transport sector. The second part provides the review of the EU structural assistance for Lithuania, the investments from European Regional Development Fund and Cohesion Fund as well as corresponding measures under the Operational Programme for Economic Growth and the Operational Programme for Promotion of Cohesion are analysed. The third part of Master’s Work concentrates on the assessment of effectiveness of the measures of the Operational Programme for Economic Growth designed to railways, National Klaipėda’s seaport and airports transport by analysing their indicators and estimating their impact by analysing statistical data. |
