Abstract [eng] The topic of this master‘s thesis is the peculiarities creating learning-enhancing non – traditional educational environments at ,,X“ Gymnasium. The structure of the thesis is based on the analysis of scientific literature and empirical research, aiming to thoroughly explore the research object – the enhancement of learning through the creation of nontraditional educational environments at ,,X“ Gymnasium. The research investigates the problem, which is specified by several key questions: what are the distinctive features of creating learning-enhancing learning nontraditional educational environments at ,,X“ Gymnasium, and how do members of the school community (students and teachers) evaluate the creation of such environments? The purpose of the study is to examine the peculiarities of creating learningenhancing non-traditional educational environments. To achieve this goal, the following objectives were set: to analyse the theoretical concepts and characteristics of learningenhancing non-traditional educational environments; to examine the attitudes of “X” Gymnasium‟s community members (students and teachers) toward the creation of such learning-enhancing non-traditional environments in the school. The research methods included the analysis of scientific literature and normative documents to explore the theoretical framework of favorable learning environments and define the concept and characteristic of non-traditional educational spaces. Further more, a quantitative research strategy was applied, using a questionnaire survey method to explore the views of ,,X“ Gymnasium community regarding their perspectives on the creation of learning-enhancing non-traditional environments. For data collection, two questionnaires were designed for students (grades 5-10) and teachers. The collected data was analysed using descriptive statistical methods. The findings conclude that learning-enhancing educational environmentsencompassing physical, social and pedagogical aspects, significantly influence students ‘ learning motivation, academic achievements, behaviour, and personality development. Their effectiveness depends on the creation of inclusive, functional, and transformative learning environments, which require consistent community involvement, adequate resources, and pedagogical innovation. The research data revealed that students highly value a friendly school atmosphere, educational trips and excursions, while teachers emphasise the importance of scientific laboratories and the school’s apiary. However, they also face challenges related to the lack of digital spaces and the considerable time investment required for lesson preparation.
