In this Masters thesis the impact on the road safety of design of vertical and horizontal curves on gravel road paving projects was analysed. In this work technical regulations and recommendations for the road design in Lithuania and foreign countries were reviewed, drivers survey was performed, gravel road paving projects analysis was made. Using road surface model visual and sight distance analysis was made, road section modelling and simulation was performed, road vertical and horizontal alignment efficiency evaluation was carried out. After performing all the researches conclusions and recommendation for improving road safety were determined.
