The final thesis has been developed on the basis of the scientific literature and reveals that the management’s role is very important in shaping organisational culture, which is highly dependent of the manager’s personal qualities and beliefs. The goal of the thesis is to present recommendations, after analysing the management’s role in shaping organisational culture, on how to make influence on shaping organisational culture. The thesis is made of three parts. The first part analyses the concept of the organisational culture, reveals the management’s role in shaping organisational culture and provides for the model of the management’s role in shaping organisational culture. The second part of the thesis reveals the methods of research and provides for the basis of their selection. The third part of the thesis introduces results of qualitative and quantitative research provides for the recommendations for the management on how to influence organisational culture. The research reveals that the members of the organisation expect that the management will be more attentive to their input, they also want more opportunities to express themselves, moderate control and reasonable workload in addition to material remuneration and the management’s role in shaping organisational culture is implemented through communication, cooperation, propagation of values, story-telling and nurturing of traditions. Research hypothesis - the importance of the management’s role in shaping organisational culture has been approved. |
