Abstract [eng] The aim of this thesis is to develop a framework to provide a structured approach for SMEs to integrate circular strategies in their product development processes, offering a practical and scalable model to transition towards a circular economy. The thesis structure consists in a comprehensive literature review, empirical research, and framework development. The examination of existing literature aims to build a theoretical background on the fashion industry and the role of circularity, including factors impacting successful implementation for product development, frameworks, tools, certifications and policies. The empirical study provides a comprehensive understanding of the current level of adoption of circular strategies among European fashion SMEs, considering their driving factors, challenges, and opportunities. Finally, the development of a framework is intended to offer a practical, step-by-step, and scalable model to guide SMEs in effectively implementing circularity in their operations, from the initial idea phase through production readiness, addressing the challenges identified in the research, such as cost, complexity, lack of clear standards, and limited expertise. The thesis consists of 7 parts: Introduction, Literature review, Empirical research, Development of framework, Conclusions and Recommendations. The thesis consists in 67 pages of text without appendixes, 17 figures and 12 tables.
