Abstract [eng] The paper analyses the importance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices in energy sector. A comprehensive literature was performed and the main drivers and bar-riers of CSR in energy sector were systematized and discussed. The main indicators and approaches applied for CSR performance assessment in energy sector were analysed and grouped. Based on performed analysis, the best practices of CSR assessment methods applied in energy sector were identified by applying the e Bellagio Sustainability Assessment and Measurement (STAMP) principles. On the basis of STAMP principles, an evaluation framework for assessment of the best suited indicators for developing CSR performance assessment (CSR index) was presented and recommendations for application of this framework for CSR performance assessment in energy sector were developed.
