Abstract [eng] Personnel assessment as a system is not a new phenomenon, however the attitude towards personnel assessment itself has changed: it is understood that personnel assessment as a system facilitate a task of company managers when assigning payment for work, making decisions on employee‘s further career development in organization, etc., also it motivates the employees themselves to work for the benefit of their organization, to improve and develop their skills and competences. Not the necessity of an assessment system itself but ways to make it even more effective – is an issue widely analysed in research publications. Effectiveness of assessment system depends on whether assessing persons recognize their mistakes, whether an assessment is made with proper precision and what is response to assessment process itself. Relevance of the problem is to be related to the fact that personnel assessment issues are analysed in research publications as one of the components of personnel management, they are described as an important tool of personnel management in organization, that contributes to increase of effectiveness of employees work performance and continuous development of personnel. Relevant problem – increasing importance of personnel assessment in organization requires improving of assessment procedure. Subject of the article – personnel assessment procedure. Objective – to make recommendations on improvement of personnel assessment procedure; such recommendations are necessary striving for more impartial evaluation of employees’ performance under changing conditions of environment. Tasks: to define the concept of personnel assessment process; to discern the key problem areas in personnel assessment and measures for improvement of the procedure. Methods: analysis and comparison of scientific publications was used for investigation and generalization of personnel assessment procedure. [...].
