| Abstract [eng] |
The object of the master thesis is the organization and provision of municipality‘s social assistance. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical parts. The theory part of the work analysis the concept of social assistance and the laws regulating it are presented, the main principles of organizing and providing social assistance as well as changes in the field of Lithuanian social assistance system are reviewed. The administration of monetary social assistance is also revealed, performing an autonomous function of municipalities. The situation of Jurbarkas and Raseiniai districts municipalities and the peculiarities of administering social assistance of these municipalities are presented in the practical part of this thesis. The qualitative research and the method of semi-structured interview are used in the thesis. According to the data obtained during the study, the possibilities of improving the new autonomous social administration of social assistance in the municipalities of Jurbarkas and Raseiniai districts were evaluated. |
