Abstract [eng] Based on the historical reflections of the Nida Art Colony, Neringa could be formed as a hub for artists from various fields, filled with creative energy throughout the year. One of the main goals of Neringa Municipality's cultural policy is to create favorable conditions for it, make appropriate decisions and support self-contained processes. However, the implementation of the strategy in this direction lacks detailed analysis and a plan of measures. So far, there have been no analytical studies on the topic of creative residences in Neringa municipality. Therefore, this Final thesis will be significant addition to the development of Neringa Municipality’s culture strategy 2020-2030 in the field of development of creative residences. The aim of the thesis is to analyze successfully working creative residencies in Europe and Lithuania, mark out their implementation modules and correlate them to the development of Creative residency’s program in Neringa Municipality. Tasks of the work: to reveal the content of creative residences, to identify main activity modules and categories of Lithuanian and European creative residences, to make analysis of creative residencies in Neringa Municipality and to offer the most applicable creative residency's models for the local community. Final thesis is concluded of content analysis of creative residences, literature and other sources analysis, benchmarking. The qualitative research revealed the factors of artists' motivation to create in Neringa, highlighted the conditions determining positive creative results, and received suggestions for cooperation with local communities. The quantitative research helped to find out the level of satisfaction of Neringa inhabitants with the existing creative and cultural activities in the city, possibilities for involvement in new creative processes. It also highlighted attractive models of creative residencies for local communities and forms of cooperation with the artists.
