In this work, the author wants to pay attention to the need to expand the traditional approach to crime prevention at the state level. To this end, a method of crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED) is introduced, which force the offender to give up the crime at the planning stage without the use of physical coercion. The effect is programmed in a properly designed environment (space). Quality design and strategies are the most important tools of CPTED. In order to find out the extent of CPTED spread in Lithuania and identify measures that would allow Lithuania to implement CPTED more effectively and intensively inside the country, the author examined the provisions, concepts, projects and programs of Lithuanian design and construction acts, analyzed the work of Lithuanian researchers on CPTED, did personal research. The results of the study showed that the implementation of CPTED in Lithuania is slow. In this work, the author looks not only for the factors that hinder the spread of CPTED, but also explains how this can be changed. |
