Abstract [eng] |
Culture is a set of values, beliefs, norms, traditions, models of mutual communication that distinguish one group of people from another. Globally, it is not possible to detect a culturally homogeneous state, so it is natural that in the context of one country, there may be misunderstandings between representatives of different ethnic groups, caused by ethnocentrism, which is characteristic of every person. In order to reduce the rise of intercultural misunderstandings, it is important to know the peculiarities of different cultures, the motives of the behavior of other cultural representatives. The aim of the study is to conduct a study to determine the cultural differences of Lithuanian ethnic groups, including Lithuanians, and its expression in intercultural communication. To achieve the aim of the research, the scientific literature was first analyzed to reveal the concepts of cultural and intercultural conflicts. After the analysis of scientific sources, it was possible to conduct a qualitative research using the interview method. The analysis of the obtained data was performed by applying the method of qualitative content analysis. |
