| Abstract [eng] |
The second half of the XX c. revealed a new generation of double bass players, who were not only double bass performers looking for ways to expand their repertoire, but also professional composers. The most prominent double bass players of this period - composers - are G. Bryars, M. Gajdoš, P. Vasks. These composers, with their active performance and quality of their work, raised the double bass as a solo instrument to an even higher level. Bass Trip, a work by P. Vasks, has left a deep mark on the programs of international competitions and in the repertoires of double bass players. |
