Abstract [eng] The master's thesis examines the forms and interactions of the expression of media images within fan art. The paper raises the following problematic questions: can fan art be equated with classical art forms, and can fan art expand the boundaries of universally understood art? I am interested in anime, computer games and attributing myself as a part of these popular cultural communities. I create work that is inspired by this genre. However, it’s also important for me to explore the classical tradition of painting, cultural heritage and cultural authenticity. The master's thesis examines the forms and interactions of the expression of the media images within fan art. The paper raises the following problematic questions: can fan art be equated with classical art forms, and can fan art expand the boundaries of universally understood art? The object of the research is the interplay of fan art and selected thematic media and images. The work assumption is that despite the best of nature and the nature of the original content, they also have an objective resemblance. This is why fan art can be considered as a form of art. The aim of work is to analyze the meaning of the expressive forms of the media images used in fan art and discover if there are any possible interactions between them. The following tasks are formulated: 1) to examine the art of fans as a phenomenon; 2) reveal the interaction between fan art and media content creators; 3) to analyze the connections between classical painting and digital art in the 20th century and the second half of 21st century in the context of art; 4) Evaluate the context of pop art and pop culture with a great sense of art: 5) Discuss the diffusion and ethical aspects of fan art on social media. 6) to describe the synthesis of classical painting and fan art and the resulting reflections in the creative process. The first chapter examines fan art as a phenomenon, reviewing the subculture of fan art creators, looking for interactions between fan art and original media content. The techniques of good art performance, suitable transformations of direct copying and stylistic processing are analyzed. The second chapter is dedicated to fan art games in the modern world. The discussion focuses on the connections between classical painting and digital art, professional creators such as Takashi Murakami, Paradise Lichtenstein, Ruten Merc and others, their work on video games/cartoons and similar topics. Furthermore, based on the thoughts of contemporary researchers and scientific articles, the main features of pop culture and the enduring value of fan art are examined. The third part discusses the advantages and disadvantages of fan art dissemination and its ethical issues. The relationship between the major users of art, traditional painting, and media content is analyzed based on Maurice Merleau-Ponty’s philosophical observations. Thus, a reflection of personal creative experience is considered while acknowledging the results of appropriate personal observations.
