The participation of patient organizations in health technology assessment decisions in the field of pharmaceuticals is analysed in this thesis. The concept of health technologies, the significance and benefits of health technology assessment in the health care system, and analyzes the involvement of patient organizations in this process are analysed in the first chapter. The EU and Lithuanian legal acts and other documents regulating the assessment of health technologies, and the Lithuanian health technology assessment system are reviewed in the second chapter. The results of the study, the involvement of patient organizations in health technology assessment decision-making processes in the field of pharmaceuticals, and the main barriers to their involvement in these processes are presented in the third chapter. |
