Abstract [eng] Digital piracy as a phenomenon that negatively affects stakeholders such as creative content creators and owners, creative content distributors and broadcasters, end-users. Therefore, there is a natural business need to manage all project risks related to the live streaming of sports content. Analyzing live streaming of sports content is important to take into account the fact, that many stakeholders involved in this process do not have a clear understanding of what piracy is or how piracy as a process works. Users accessing live sports broadcasts online often assume that this content is being made available online freely without any bad intentions and these users do not give a second thought of how and why this content is available online for free. Digital piracy of live sports is a very dynamic process and to reduce negative economic impact, creative content owners and distributors should identify behavior patterns of pirates illegally sharing content online. Identify strategies used and audience targeted by pirates as well as expectations of targeted audience. These steps are required to precisely identify live streaming sports projects risks and prepare response plans to manage these risks effectively. Digital piracy in Lithuania is not broadly discussed or analyzed topic, there are not many literature sources related to this specific topic. Moreover risk management of digital piracy in the context of sports live broadcasting is a topic that is not cover by any Lithuanian authors. The goal of this thesis is to identify the most popular digital piracy trends and causes in Lithuania in the contexts of sports live streaming projects risk management along with available content protections strategies.
