The masters thesis consists of three sections. The first chapter deals with performance expressions means the work of 20th-21st century composers: singing while playing (vocal sound), tongue clicking, airy sound (sound of breathing or air), playing a blowpipe (mouthpiece alone), valve playing (key click), throat tremolo (throat tremolo), frullato, vibrato, glissando, the most prominent composers who wrote for the clarinet and their works are named. In the second the section analyzes playing techniques: chain breathing (circular breathing), playing to tooth resting on tongue (tooth on reed), playing oboe embouchure (double lips), multiphony (multiphonic), double staccato (double staccato). The third chapter is a qualitative study. Four respondents who took part in the survey answered 10 questions of a structured interview and shared their own opinion and practical experience. The conclusions summarize the research results. Use sheet music in the work examples, the tables contain respondents answers. |
