Abstract [eng] The theme - a social pedagogue's professional burnout in correlation with the managerial competencies. The object of research – the correlation of professional burnout with managerial competencies. The aim of research – to examine the spread of social pedagogue’s professional burnout, its links with the socio-demographic characteristics and to determine its correlation with managerial competencies. Quantitative research was accomplished, 103 social pedagogues were surveyed (102 women, 1 man). The tasks: 1. To examine empirically the level of social pedagogue’s professional burnout spread and its links to sociodemographic variables: age, work experience, qualification, workload, geographical location of the school, the amount of students at the school. 2. To substantiate empirically the correlation of social pedagogue’s professional burnout with managerial competencies. Methods: to determine social pedagogue’s burnout, the Lithuanian version of MBI –ES scale (Maslach Burnout Inventory – Educatiors Survey) (Maslach et al., 1996), prepared by A. Stočkus (2014), has been used. In accessing the reliability of whole MBI-ES scale it has been determined that Cronbach‘s alpha is equal to 0,906. A questionnaire (SPVK) of social pedagogue’s managerial competencies by A. Mažionienė (2014) was used to determine social pedagogue’s managerial competencies. In accessing the reliability of whole SPVK scale it has been found that Cronbach’s alpha is equal to 0,993.
