Master's thesis analyzed a series of North Sea oil platform located on duty, safety hull corrosion wear tenth seawater ballast tank and the reasons presented fault detection techniques, measured experimental results obtained during the measurement. The final work consists of theoretical, experimental and practical parts. In the theoretical part of thesis an overview of scientific articles on corrosion issue, hull wear, a review of the classification societies requirements for hull condition, examining the hull repair technology are presented. The experimental section presents thickness measurement by ultrasonic callipers results of series of North Sea oil platform standby vessels tenth seawater ballast tank. The measurements are compared with other ships of the same series, it was found that the corrosion abrasion occurred in all of the series the border board in the same construction spot. The practical part of the calculations determines the cause of corrosion wear the same site of a series of ships. The data obtained were compared with others of the same ships in order to analyze the possible reasons for the appearance of wear and make general conclusions. |
