To test the hypothesis that the sacrament of Reconciliation expresses the reconciliation not only with God and with themselves, but with the entire community of believers, and reveals the religious and psychological aspects of the guilt, we sought (purpose) to reveal the religious and psychological aspects of the guilt in the sacrament of Reconciliation. The object of the thesis – the religious and psychological aspects of the sense of guilt in the sacrament of Reconciliation. Tasks are following: 1. To analyze the concept of the term of the sacrament of Reconciliation, historical – theological evolution revealing the role of the sense of guilt with the help of the scientific and methodological religious literature. 2. To analyze the theological, philosophical, scientific and psychological literature about the essence of the guilt and about the religious and psychological aspects of it. 3. To highlight the religious and psychological factors of the sense of guilt affecting the grace efficiency of the sacrament of Reconciliation. 4. To assess the formation of the fault assumptions and to provide the positive sacrament fields of Reconciliation by analyzing the religious and psychological aspects of the fault in the sacrament of Reconciliation (penance). Results: With the help of the scientific and methodical religious literature after the analysis of the concept of the sacrament of Reconciliation we can say that the Church since its inception recognizes and values its many different forms of penance but there is not any more significant, divinely effective, more prominent and accessible at the same time as the celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation among all acts. We realize the Sacrament of Penance and confession as a mean of overcoming guilt, which has not only a deep spiritual value, as we have seen, but also provides very useful psychological implications: it is the growing need for self-discovery, correction of bad habits, purity of conscience, the strengthening of will, achieved salutary self-control, the abolition of sin, approach to the person of Jesus Christ and obedience to the Holy Spirit link the religious and psychological aspects of the sense of guilt. During the study, according to the summarized and analyzed responses of the respondents, we can confirm that the sacrament of Reconciliation is usually practiced and positively valued and is identified as a way of overcome of guilt, which expresses the reconciliation with God, ourselves and the whole community of believers, emphasizing the religious and psychological aspects. |
