| Abstract [eng] |
The present research has aimed at testing the features and relationship of Locus of Control, Causal Attribution style and Social Competence of the first and fourth classes students' in gymnasium. The sample was consisted of 159 students from 15 to 19 years old, 66 males and 93 females. The permition to test the first class students was obtained by their parents at the parental meeting. Assessment methods: Locus of Control was used to establish the methodology of J.B. Rotter, prepared by A. Bagdonas and L. Pociūtė (1988). The analysis shows the scale of the externality-internality inner Cronbach α equals to 0,82. To found out the Causal Attribution style there was used the questionair of M. E. Seligman, the Lithuanian version was prepared by V. Keturakis (2002). ASQ-L internal consistency Cronbach α equals to 0,71. To identify the Social Competence there was used the test of Ullrich und de Muynck, the Lithuanian version was prepared by R. Lekavičienė (2001). In this study there was obtained the Social Competence the inner consistency Cronbach α equal to 0,77. Statistical data analysis was performed using SPSS 20.0 software package. The software package, taking into account the work of the goals and objectives were used to calculate descriptive statistics ( mean, standart deviation, asymmetry and excess coefficients, Shapiro- wear test), internal consistency ( Cronbach's alpha). Normally distributed variables, intergroup comparisons were applied to two- factor analysis of variance ( ANOVA). In order to assess the relationships between variables Spearman's correlation coefficient was calculated. There were raised four tasks: evaluation and comparison of I and IV high school grade students - boys, girls - Locus of Control evaluation and comparison of I and IV high school grade students - boys, girls - Causal Attribution styles evaluation and comparison of I and IV high school grade students - boys, girls - the peculiarities of Social Competence, to assess the relationship between students' Locus of Control and Causal Attribution style and level of Social Competence. The study was as follows: I and IV high school students who attend classes and boys studying in I and IV high school classes, Locus of Control do not differ ( p> 0,05), the girls are more internalite than boys ( p< 0,05). High school girls at the I class are more internate than girls attending high school class IV ( p< 0, 05) and 0,05 among the students at I and IV gymnasium classes, among boys and girls, also, among the boys at I and IV gymnasium classes. Statistically significant differences in Causal Attribution - style ( p > 0.05) among students attending high school I and IV classes between boys and girls, the boys studying in I and IV high school classes. Statistically significant diffirences of 68 Causal Attribution was not found ( p>0,05) between girls and boys studying in I and IV gymnasium classes, also, between the boys in I and IV gymnasium classes. There were found important differences of Causal Attribution style among girls studying in I and IV high classes, the girls in I classes of gymnasium interpret the events more optimistical than the girls in IV class ( p<0,05). The self-confidence of Social Competence levels in I class there was found higher than in IV gymnasium classes ( p<0.05). The resilience and critics, the ability to express feelings and to ask for favor, displiability, also ability to requiare and feeling unguilty, do not differ ( p>0,05). The general Social Competence level of females is higher than males ( p<0.05): the ability to express feelings and displiability of girls is higher than boys (p<0,05) and total self- confidence, resilience to fails and critics, ability to ask for favor and to make a require, feeling unguilty do not differ ( p>0,05). The total level of Social Competence for the boys of I and IV high classes do not differ (p>0,05). The resistance to failure and critics, feeling unguilty are higher than in IV gymnasium classes(p<0,05) and total self-confidence, ability to express feelings and to ask for favor, displiability and ability to require, do not differ (p>0,05). There were found significant differences in Social Competence levels for girls in I and IV gymnasium classes (p<0.05). The common self-confidence and displiability of the girls in I gymnasium classes is higher than in IV gymnasium classes (p<0,05) and the resistence to failure and critics, feeling unguilty, ability to express feelings and to ask for favor, also, ability to require, do not differ (p>0,05). Also, there was identified statistically significant correlation (p<0,01) between Locus of Control and Causal Attribution (r = 0,83) between Locus of Control and Social Competence (r= 0.69) and between Causal attribution style and Social Competence. |
