Abstract [eng] This article is prepared according to the report for Republic of Lithuania Ministry of Agriculture 2008. The arrangement assumptions of fruits and vegetables sector development strategy are analysed, preparation principles and solutions are suggested. The significance of producer organisations establishment while increasing the sector competitiveness is emphasised.
