Abstract [eng] This article attempts to look into the Marija Gimbutas works observable differences, examining acculturation, syncretism and cultural diffusion during the formation of the Baits culture. In M. Gimbutas works provides striking contradictions and inconsistencies examining acculturation process of transforming the Old Europe to Indo-European Europe. Sudden and overpower using physical force entrenchment oflndo- Europeans, according to M. Gimbutas, would not be enabled as a long stay in Baltic culture and religion of Old Europe traceable elements yet even in the 19tlt-20th centuries what underlined by the itself author. The paper shows how in M. Gimbutas worki occurs this conflict, when one side says that Indo-European culture was the emergence of force, violence through, on the other side of the Old European culture and related customs than the Indo-European than the Christian culture has not been overshadowed. The paper shows that to the contrary to the M. Gimbutas, during the formation of the Baits culture and religion inconspicuous migratory diffusion characteristics as the recent developments in cultural and economic context was cross-cultural diffusionsion path.
