The main goal of thesis is to evaluate the possibilities of youth non-governmental organizations center development in Klaipeda city. To achieve this aim main objectives were formulated: to reveal the concept of youth non-governmental organizations center, the peculiarities of activity and the place in regional governance; to analyze the pilot models of foreign youth non-governmental organizations centers and the social value of the center for Klaipeda city; to analyze the need of youth non-governmental organizations center model in Klaipeda city. Theoretical part of the thesis includes: the theoretical and practical discourse of youth non-governmental organizations center and their models’ analysis as well as the need of such centers in the world and Klaipeda city. In order to submit the comprehensive interpretation of Klaipeda youth non-governmental organizations center modelling approach in Klaipeda city and to offer the visual model of the center, concentrated groups’ discussion (focus group) with potential participants of the modelling center was organized. Qualitative research based on the results of respondents' diverse attitudes revealed that the model of youth non-governmental center is seen as multifunctional strategic partnership area for youth in Klaipeda. This is a new generation cooperation model which unites local government, youth non-governmental organizations, business, society and state institutions for general changes in regional youth policies and the demographic, social, economic and political Klaipeda city indicators improvement. The youth non-governmental organizations center in Klaipeda city is a strategic step in order to achieve \"European Youth Capital City 2021\" title and become the \"Youth Friendly City\". |
