Abstract [eng] Although career management and professional development are relevant both in scientific literature, in educational documents and in practice, there is a lack of research in the area of professional development and career management of vocational teachers. This implies a scientific problem: what are the opportunities for professional development and career management of vocational teachers? The subject of the research is the professionalism and career management of vocational teachers. The aim of the research is to theoretically analyze and empirically substantiate the opportunities for professional development and career management of vocational teachers. Tasks of the research: 1). To analyze scientific literature and documents on professional development and career management of vocational teachers; 2). To study the attitude of administration, vocational teachers to professional development and career management; 3) . To carry out the professional development of professional teachers and career management (one case) analysis in X organization. Research methods: theoretical analysis of scientific literature and documents; questionnaire; case study. Theoretical aspects of this work provide an opportunity to draw attention to the problems of the professional development of vocational teachers and career management, where it is most often associated with the certification process, ie. y. transition from one career to another. The scientific novelty of the work is revealed by the author's aim to demonstrate the professional development of vocational teachers and career management as a necessity for lifelong learning, by eliminating career aspirations. From the practical point of view, the research data can be significant in order to reveal an effective professional development process, ensuring successful career management of VET teachers. Research has shown that professional development is one of the most effective factors in helping a vocational teacher manage his career. The study confirmed the hypothesis that the professional development of vocational teachers and career management will be successful, provided that the systematic improvement of the professionalism of VET teachers in and outside the workplace will be monitored, and their professionalism and careers assessed.
