Abstract [eng] Children’s social issues such as violence, lack of self-confidence, mental health issues, behavioural disorders and lack of social skills are currently being discussed in Lithuania. Children affected by these issues experience difficulties adapting in preschool educational facilities, therefore the issue of social pedagogic aid for the adaptation of children is a relevant one. Scientific problem: what are the possibilities of social pedagogic aid for children adaption at preschool? Object of thesis: Social Pedagogic Aid for Children Adaptation at Preschool age. Objective of thesis: reveal the possibilities of social pedagogic aid for children adaption at preschool. Tasks of thesis: 1. Analyze the theoretical fundamentals of social pedagogic aid in preschool. 2. Research social pedagogues opinions on the possibilities of social pedagogic aid for children adaption at preschool. 3. Research preschool expert teachers opinions on the possibilities of social pedagogic aid for children adaption at preschool. 4. Design a model of “Social Pedagogic Aid for Children Adaption at Preschool” and give recommendations to social pedagogues and preschool teachers. Thesis methods: Theoretical: analysis of scientific literature and documentation; Empirical: qualitative research, applying the methods of direct individual interview and distant interview through e-mail, using content analysis to examine the data collected. This thesis is based on the theories of pragmatism, humanism and progressive education. To present the problem examined using the selected qualitative research method, 5 social pedagogues and 5 preschool expert teachers, working in preschools of Klaipėda, Kaunas and Šiauliai, were interviewed.
