In this work, the concept of competetive envirorement and competitiveness are reviewed. Thesis provides information of Ro – Ro shipping lines which are currently operation in Baltic Sea region and types of vessels used in Ro – Ro shipping. Also types of routes are analysed too. The dynamics of handling Ro – Ro cargoes of the major Baltic Sea ports and ports of Swinoujscie and Klaipeda are also presented. In this thesis Ro – Ro cargo flow perpectives for 2018 – 2027 period was analysed. It was evaluated number of quays, their paramethers and Ro – Ro storage area which will be needed in order to maintain forecasted cargo flows. In this work analyzes whether it is possible to open a Ro – Ro line between Klaipeda and Swinoujscie. Also conlusions have been made under which terms and conditions it would be possible to open line between above mentioned ports. Weaknesses and stenghts as well as threats and opportunities of Klaipeda and Swinoujscie are reviewed. |
