This thesis analyses the market of oil and LNG produce of BSR countries. It finds the largest BSR ports on the Eastern Baltic sea. A more thorough analysis is done (Ust-Luga, Primorsk and Ventspils in oil produce load capacity, Świnoujście in LNG load). Main oil / LNG terminals of the port of Klaipeda are analyzed (AB “Klaipėdos nafta” and UAB “Krovinių terminalas”). The current state of the port of Klaipeda’s zero quay is analysed (state of the territory, size, shoreline length, distance to railway line, connection to infrastructure). The thesis researches / analyzes the opportunities of port of Klaipeda’s zero quay in regards of installing an LNG distribution station with the ability to load oil produce from the planned pier near the zero quay. The research is conducted by using linear as well as multi-criteria analysis forecasts in 2027 and calculating foreseen the capacity of the LNG distribution station and also oil produce loads by using foreseen possible oil and LNG produce streams. By knowing the capacity of the LNG distribution station, a possible terminal design is foreseen. Research on the port of Klaipeda’s zero quay’s LNG distribution station SWOT analysis was concluded in order to determine the terminal’s strong and weak points as well as opportunities and risks, which are the main factors in planning a terminal. |
