Research methods: Theoretical: analysis of scientific literature, interpretation, generalization, abstraction. Empirical: qualitative research, individual interviews, content analysis. The work consists of an introduction, two chapters, bibliography and appendices. The first chapter analyzes the theoretical assumptions of mindfulness and mindfulness education. This part presents a theoretical analysis of mindfulness, analyzes the impact of the application of mindfulness methods on primary school students experiencing behavioral and/or emotional difficulties. In the context of theory, the methods of mindfulness education applied by social pedagogues are evaluated. The second chapter describes the methodology of empirical research - analyzes the aspects of qualitative research preparation. The results of the analysis of the data of the qualitative research of social pedagogues and primary school teachers are also presented. The results of an empirical study to identify mindfulness methods used by social educators to overcome behavioral and /or emotional difficulties in primary school students revealed that most social pedagogues apply or try to apply mindfulness methods in their work activities and agree unanimously that mindfulness methods are important for primary school students with behavioral and / or emotional difficulties. Social pedagogues seek to collaborate with primary school teachers by encouraging teachers to try and apply mindfulness methods to ensure the continuity of these methods for younger children with behavioral and /or emotional difficulties. Although social pedagogues, guided by personal interests, seek information, knowledge about mindfulness, attend seminars, share good practice with colleagues, it is noticeable that there is still a lack of knowledge and information about the application of mindfulness methods to behavioral and/or emotional difficulties of primary school students.
