Abstract [eng] The article details the issue of adult education. Sociological studies on adult education started in 2004. In the case of an adult individual, it is not easy to start learning. An interesting study of motivation has been carried out. The analysis of the studies performed to determine the factors affecting learning has been conducted. The main factors influencing the study include: social, economic factors and the desire to remain in the labour market. Adults have to decide whether to continue learning, and often the result lies in the financial position. Learning takes place in prison and where the emphasis on education as a primary agent of socialisation is put. Learning is important to persons with disabilities and those aiming to improve their socialisation in the society. The present and non-formal education is dealt with. Non-formal education tends to occur within the learning organisation, professional development and continuing learning. Many working people are engaged in training activities. Continuous vocational training is popular. However, respondents not always need training. Often, knowledge is not practical. The study also found that there was poor organisation of adult education. The lack of qualified specialists is observed. Andragogues would solve the problem. But there is no such job position. It can be stated that adult education trends remain similar to those in 2004.
