| Abstract [eng] |
A social pedagogue is a very important figure in modern schools. The discussion about the relevance of and necessity for a social pedagogue began to spread back in the 19th century. A social pedagogue, his/her activities, functions and other related aspects are an important and relevant subject of research and debates. Nowadays the topics which seem to be not related to a social pedagogue, for example, analysis of social pedagogue’s management activities, the status of one’s image, are dealt with. Among these topics, the idea that a social educator has become the authority for pupils with whom he/she works follows. This way, a social pedagogue can achieve the desired results. This means that a social pedagogue must be able to unfold oneself as a leader, and his/her leadership potential can be implemented in activities with pupils work with colleagues and in general implementation of the school strategy. However, social pedagogue’s leadership is an undervalued and rarely analysed topic. The results of the focused interview show how social pedagogues understand social pedagogue’s leadership; also, they reveal the essential characteristics that a school social pedagogue leader must have. Moreover, the survey reveals how social pedagogues evaluate the current situation of social pedagogues as leaders, not only in schools but in society too. |
