| Abstract [eng] |
The article deals with the interconnection between Nature and Culture in the Lithuanian folklore. As a typical example in the study is analysed swamp phenomenon, which is intended like a primal synthesis of the four main elements in the Cosmos Creation. In cross-cultural mythologies (particularly of North people) swamp served as a reason in the process of the origination of the right Cosmos. The present article attempts to reveal the main features of swamp as it was seen in the folklore and specifically the initial elements – ground and water as they coexist in swamp as a primal substance. It is argued in this article that interrelations between various elements conditioned its value in the cultural and national Cosmos as a human life space in its real connections with spontaneous Nature. This publication revises a Christianity dogma about foul essence of the initial ground (hyle) and its apostasy, i.e. fall from the God, Church and Eternal Truths. Postmodern interpretation on the elements synthesis like a rizomatic tangle opened a possibility to understand a swamp as an open nonlinear system and as an origin of the creation of the national and cultural Cosmos. It is concluded about the way, which led on the apostasy inversion as in the tone of the national Culture, as in the sphere of wild Nature. |
