Abstract [eng] The aim of the final projekt is to study Education of Active and Health Aging of People Living in Social Care Institutions, after analyzing the scientific literature on the topic of active and healthy aging. Research methodes. The analysis of the scientific literature was applied in the final master's work in order to theoretically analyze the aspects of society's attitude to the aging of the population and to identify the peculiarities of active and healthy aging in social care institutions. A qualitative study was also conducted in which residents of Blinstrubiškės social care home in Raseiniai district were interviewed – 14 persons. Conclusions. The results of the study revealed that activities organized in social care homes do not encourage involvement and participation in them, many respondents point out that lack of health does not allow to do so. The study also showed that the residents of social care homes often feel constrained and uncomfortable to seek help from employees, therefore it can be assumed that no psychological comfort is created for the residents, as a result, they are not motivated, encouraged to engage in various activities. Thus, it is recommended that workers not only seek a wider range of activities according to the individual needs and abilities of the population, but also actively promote the intrinsic motivation, faith and self-confidence of older people. Residents of care homes should limit and restrain themselves as little as possible due to lack of health, because with proper help and care - it is possible to engage in favorite activities.
