| Abstract [eng] |
The paper analyzes the professional development of adults in the workplace, based on personal experience gained earlier in the learning process. Conclusions of theoretical and empirical research: professional development is the continuous learning of adults in the real workplace. It is purposeful, thoughtful, based on personal experience, with a clear purpose and planned tasks, learning that helps adults to acquire knowledge and skills to perform their activities well and to achieve a certain level of improvement. By participating in the learning process, the adult has an individual, concrete experience, which he integrates into the learning process by transforming and reflecting. The analysis of the survey data showed that informants associate professional development in the workplace with continuous learning and personal experience. The following elements of experiential learning are important here: experience (primary and secondary), learning methods, emotions, social interaction and learning environment. However, they attach little importance to thought processes, language, physical action, which shows that they do not associate personal experiences with in-depth analysis, action, and reflection. It is the analysis of the context, meaning and meaning of adults' personal experiences and actions that would help them to get to know themselves and their professional opportunities better and to anticipate opportunities for professional development in the workplace. |
