Abstract [eng] Due to the growing population of the elderly, seniors who cannot take care of themselves are placed in social care/nursing homes. Using smart technologies, it is possible to monitor the health parameters of seniors and promote a more active lifestyle by allowing the nursing home residents to monitor the changes and progress of their health. This paper presents a smart system laboratory prototype for elderly health parameter monitoring. The system prototype consists of smart watches that collect health data and transmit the collected information using Bluetooth 5.0 BLE wireless technology. The smart watches will help nursing home workers to monitor the health parameters of their population, which in turn will help them to decide how they can give care to those in need as soon as possible. This data is collected and displayed by smartphones that transmit information to the cloud server using Wi-Fi or 4G wireless technologies. The system uses a cloud server to transmit information to the system website and store the data in a database for later monitoring. The system's website downloads the collected health readings and displays them in graphical form. A system website can also alert the user of critical changes in patient health parameters. Users of the system's website can send messages to each other using the website's messaging feature.
