The thesis analyzes the development trends of the shipping and ship repair industry in the Baltic Sea region. The analysis of ship repair companies in the Baltic Sea region is performed, The Western Shipyard Group companies and its ship repair technological infrastructure are analyzed. After floating dock occupancy forecasting calculations, dock parameter justification, Malkų Bay water area optimization, floating docks compaction analysis, shipping parameters, ship turning basin and entrance channel calculations and PANAMAX dock SWOT analysis, reasoned rational acquisition of PANAMAX dock. The final works goal is: To investigate the direction of rational development of ship repair technologies of The Western Shipyard Group and its practical implementation solutions, in connection with the tendencies of shipping development in the Baltic Sea region. The work objectives: Perform a comparative analysis of the ship repair potential of the Baltic Sea region countries, assessing the peculiarities of shipping; Review ship repair companies in the Baltic Sea region; Study the capacities of docking technologies of The Western Shipyard and to perform their perspective forecast; Identify rational changes in the docking infrastructure, assessing the aspects of their practical implementation. |
