The final master‘s work analyses main superstructure and infrastructure parameters of dry bulk terminal. It contains analysis of handling equipment. The purpose – to analyze maximum fertilizer handling possibilities of JSC „Birių krovinių terminalas“ . To complete this work, there was a forecast calculation done of the estimated cargo flow for 10 years (up to 2029), calculated main quays parameters and maximum rail opportuninities in terminal. After bulk fertilizer flows forecasting, it was concluded that the flow could reach 20,01 mln. t. and be about more than 2 times bigger than 2019 years, existing company parameters (number of quay walls, rail capacity ) is not sufficient to service the growing freight traffic, and quays No. 101 - No. 106 will be completely used for future bulk fertilizer flows. |
