Abstract [eng] The essence of self-education and it’s importance for mature personality’s self-realization is analysed in the first chapter. Connection of self-educational needs and social roles change of contemporary men in society are analysed. Self-educational motivation of men, problems of recognition of non-formal and informal learning is analysed. Psychosocial characteristic of 22-35 years old men is analysed in the second chapter. Features of educational and self-educatioanl possibilities are found out. Contemporary service sector as a professional career space is analysed. Peculiarities of men professional activity in service sector are found out. Analysis of empirical investigation is in the third chapter. Self-educational realia and perspectives of 22-35 years old men working in service sector are found out. Empirical investigation was carried out since September in 2014 to January in 2015. There were 130 service sector men from Klaipeda who attended in the empirical investigation. Those men filled in a questionnaire of 20 questions. Empirical investigation showed that self-education to men of service sector is important but not the dominant activity. Men working in service sector consciously try to have as more perfect their personality as they can. It is very important to these men to have a free time from family and job affairs if they want to educate themselves. The respondents work in service sectors rather consciously, they are happy for their selection to work in this spehere, though there are some respondents who think in another way. A lot of men working in this sector tend to admit that it is worth to educate themselves due to life and communication quality as well as better achievements in job.
