Abstract [eng] The aim of the research - to analyse possibilities of a public health specialist’s as a health educator’s role consolidation in educational institution. Research methods – quantitative method was applied with collected data by a survey on the internet. The research sample consisted of Kaišiadorys 244 10-12th grade students, 7 public health specialists, 10 school principals. Main results and conclusions - students are dissatisfied the most that public health specialists are working a part - time in a day (25,2 pct.). Boys are statistically significantly more likely to want a specialist man, while girls prefer a specialist woman (p=0.023). All specialists, who participated in a survey, are able to do educational activities. They can explain the ways of preserving and sustaining health for school’s community, also, to choose proper methods for sustaining health, and, apply them. Public health specialists are able to notice health and behavior issues of students, but working in a several schools prevents them to work effectively. Representatives of educational institution management says that effectiveness of wellness activities would rise, if one health public specialist would be assigned to work in one institution.
