Abstract [eng] The objective is to present the means of implementing innovations in the ambulance station. Research hypothesis - when assessing the possibilities of implementing innovations in the ambulance station, the opinion of employees on the analyzed issue is not taken into account, employees have too little information about the implemented innovations and the importance of its needs, the motivation system does not work. Tasks: 1) to describe the implementation of innovations in the field of services in a theoretical aspect; 2) to present the characteristics of Kaunas City Ambulance Station and the innovations recently introduced in it; 3) after analyzing the opinions of employees, to provide recommendations on the issues of innovation implementation. Research methodologies. Analysis of scientific sources and internal documents of the institution. To achieve the research goal, the quantitative research type was selected questionnaire by online survey, the data of which were processed by MS Exel 2016 program and the analysis of qualitative research semi-structured interviews: categories and subcategories based on informants' experiences. Data from this study were analyzed using Content Analysis. Conclusions. It was found that the main problems of innovation implementation are the diversity of services provided and the lack of knowledge and cooperation of employees in the institution. A theoretical model of innovation implementation has been developed, which is based on the research. The analysis of the institution revealed that in recent years it has implemented such innovative solutions as the establishment of cluster brigades, the establishment of audit unit, reorganization of GMPS dispatching activities, and others. The main problems of innovation implementation that affect the smooth implementation of processes were identified: insufficient provision of information on implementation to employees, lack of motivation and encouragement to submit proposals and participate in implementation processes, lack of communication, and non-response to employees' comments on innovation implementation and application activities. Possible measures to improve innovation have been identified, such as the introduction of employee pay linked to the implementation and use of innovation, the detailed presentation of a career innovation perspective plan, increasing communication between departments and individual employees, the introduction of other motivation, and incentive measures.
