The purpose of the study: to identify the possibilities of a social worker working with the elderly and old people concerning the aspect of the quality of life. The following research methods were used in the work: analysis of scientific literature and a quantitative research method - a survey conducted in a form of questionnaire distributed among respondents. In the empirical study, a probabilistic selection of respondents was chosen, i.e. the study included the elderly and old people registered with the social assistance center who are able to assess the quality of life while living in their home. When working with elderly and old people, a social worker constantly generalizes, assesses problems, resolves conflict situations, brings fresh products, and maintains order in the house. The paper presents research-based conclusions and recommendations for improving the performance of the social worker. |
