The final master's work analyses modernization possibilities for heritage structures. The master thesis consists of 3 parts. The first part reviews the concept of cultural heritage and examines in detail the history of European and Lithuanian heritage protection development. In the second part, the research base of cultural heritage is analysed while conducting detailed overview of research methods and overviewing the possibilities and peculiarities of application of building information modeling technologies in cultural heritage buildings. In the third part of the work, the possibilities of application of renewable energy technologies in cultural heritage structures is analysed with additional overview of their operation principles and potential of their use in Lithuania. It also gives an overview of successful modernization projects of foreign countries cultural heritage objects with the application of renewable energy sources. At the end, the conclusions of the thesis are presented. Thesis consists of: 99 pages text without appendixes, 18 figures, 1 table, 67 bibliographical sources and 1 appendix (A). |
