Abstract [eng] Relevance of the topic. The concepts of crisis management and change management have been widely explored in the face of the financial market crisis of more than a decade ago. These concepts have also become the subject of new debate and research by scientists in the face of the global crisis caused by the global COVID-19 pandemic. Organizations are trying to emerge from the crisis by changing leadership or image but the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has completely paralyzed cultural organizations, has highlighted the need to find new, innovative ways to manage change to ensure business continuity and growth. Novelty of the topic. Change management is not a new topic in management theory. J.Bersėnaitė, G.Šaparnis, D.Šaparnienė, J.W.Moran, B.K.Brightman, B.J.Hurn and others have studied it extensively in their scientific works. This research reveals in detail the importance of change for the organization, the relationship with environmental challenges, change perceptions, change patterns, implementation success factors specific to different organizations. Nevertheless, no research has been done on the issues raised in this master's thesis about the success factors of change management in Lithuanian cultural centers, therefore the conclusions and insights of this work could be useful in continuing research on change management in cultural organizations. Problem: By what means do Lithuanian cultural centers manage organizational change? Object: Peculiarities of organizational change management in Lithuanian cultural centers. Aim: To reveal the peculiarities of organizational change management in Lithuanian cultural centers. Tasks: 1. Define the concept of change management and change management tools in the organization. 2. To analyze the legal and political preconditions of the activity of cultural centers in the context of external changes in activity. 3. After conducting a qualitative research, evaluate the success factors of change management in Lithuanian cultural centers. Conclusions. 1. Change is one of the most important resources for an organization to compete successfully and achieve maximum results. The organization must be able to create, acquire and apply knowledge and change activities in response to changing operating conditions. 2. Management theory distinguishes: anticipation of change, evaluation of change, preparation for change, the ability of an organization to manage it. Successful change management depends on the attitudes of event organizers towards change. The more positive the attitude of the employees of the organization towards change, the more successful the change management (application of the LEAN system). 3. The activities of Lithuanian cultural centers cover more than one area - public education, culture, recreation, and ways of self-expression. The events organized by the cultural centers are successful celebrations with their uniqueness, which not only shape the image of the city, show the national and international uniqueness of the nations but also create conditions for a new marketing strategy. 4. Organizational and cultural change management takes place according to two different change management strategies. The first is aimed at improving economic performance. The second is aimed at changes in the organizational structure. 5. Factors of change management success in Lithuanian cultural centers are associated with cooperation in the team - specific change management plan, perception that change is necessary and inevitable, identification of barriers to change, the role of the leader in team mobilization, change management knowledge, cooperation with other institutions.
