Abstract [eng] The study object of the master thesis is Eugène Ysaÿe sonata no. 2 op. 27 for violin solo. The focus of this work is to explore compositional and interpretive aspects of this sonata, in an attempt to reveal it‘s compositional characteristics, artistic meaning and performance subtleties. The first chapter will analyze the composer‘s creative development and characteristics. The focus will be on second sonata structure and compositional peculiarities. In the second chapter of this work, the interpretative analysis will be carried out by comparing three different violinists – Gidon Kremer, Augustin Hadelich and Kerson Leong and reviews the extent to which they correspond to the author’s musical text.
