Abstract [eng] |
Cadenza is an important part of solo concerto; it gives form to the piece and allows the soloist to demonstrate his technical and creative abilities. As the time passed many performers and composers moved away from traditions of cadenza. Most of performers these days are not willing to compose or perform their own cadenzas and if they do it, they often miss information on how to do it in style. This work seeks to figure out how to compose, improvise and perform historically and stylistically accurate classical era cadenza. Three different cadenzas of K. Dittersdorf double bass concerto nr. 2 E-dur were analyzed based on famous XVIII century musicians - D. G. Türk, J. J. Quantz and C. P. E. Bach. Guidelines were made for performing, improvising, or composing cadenza. |
