The defects of residential buildings in Lithuania are analyzed in the final master's thesis. Classifications of defects according to the practice of foreign countries and sources of scientific literature are examined. The regulated classification of defects in Lithuania and the classification of defects according to scientific literature sources are examined. Various defect assessment models are presented and detailed. In the final work, five different cases of masonry defects are analyzed. All cases of defects are examined according to the most frequent recurrent defect criteria. Using the LEVI 3.0 software and the Laplace rule, a defect estimation algorithm was developed that generates a priority queue for repair work. The developed algorithm was applied to five defect assessment cases. The work consists of 10 parts: introduction, defects and their classification, the conclusions of the first chapter, the methodology of defect assessment, the conclusions of the second chapter, the method of defect assessment of residential buildings, the third chapter, conclusions, references, appendices.
