Abstract [eng] |
The artistic research paper reveals the expression of the archetype of the Self in the new (the end of the 20th c. – the beginning of the 21st c.) Lithuanian organ music. The field of research covers the conceptualisation of the archetype of the Self with reference to C.G. Jung’s archetype theory and its relation with the laws of music dramaturgy. One concentrates to the determination of musical parameters of the expression of this archetype. The object of the research, new Lithuanian organ music, is analysed through the prism of dramaturgy of the archetype of the Self, indicating the aspects of musical and non-musical correlations and sallies, leading to the formation of new spheres (visual, transcendental “other space” or universe as the whole and unit analogy) in music. Thus the assumption is made about the meaning of regularities of musical thinking to the general change, influenced by the power of archetype expression rising from the collective subconscious. It is natural that in the case of Lithuanian music as well as existential topicality, one concentrates towards the phenomenon of Self restoration both in the creation itself and in analysing its process through the regularities of the form. Evoking the examples of the actual creation, one demonstrates the operation of the main five phases of the process of the Self in organ music. At the same time, there emerge the topicalities of the returns of the archetype of the Self (creation vitality) – beginning, maturation and regression time, tendencies, expression parameters, sources and trends of inspirations. With the purpose of spreading these phenomenological (described as of the relation of the dark–light antinomies) aspects of the archetype of the Self, the research work analyses the works for organ of the Lithuanian composers of the three expression groups: • beginning impulse dramaturgy (archetype rising from the dark); • fullness dramaturgy (archetype structurisation, when musical parameters have reached a frame of “light architecture“); • transcendence and regression dramaturgy (archetype after the break: transformation into the spherical form of Enlightening – pulsation of eternity, transcendence landscapes or division, coming back to the dominion of the dark (Shadow). The research determines the transformations of the archetype of the Self: their trends, parameters, aims and limits. During the research, one finds still forgotten or new created works relevant to the reception of the archetype of the Self. Here especially important is both collaboration with the authors and theoretical interdisciplinary path of the idea, solving a difficult-to-define, basically coming from the depth psychology, the phenomenon of the archetype of the Self. In music it is related to the archaic itself, and correspondingly reduced procedures of musical analysis are applied to it. In organ creation, the expression of the archetype of the Self is the analogy of the whole modelling through the din, dynamising the conception of the process dramaturgy. |
