This work analyzes the influence of listening to contemporary improvised music on the experience of music perception. The aim of the study is to reveal the impact that the experience gained during listening to improvised music can have on the perception of this music. Additionally, the study examines how contemporary music can convey a social or political message and how it is beneficial to culture and art in general. Interview questions are also used to determine the effects that performing and listening to contemporary improvisational music can have on society and the creative process of the performer. The objectives of the study include analyzing the concept and development of contemporary improvisational music, clarifying the relationship between listening to this music and the experience of music perception, and exploring how the experience of listening to improvised music by performers can influence their understanding of music. Based on the analysis of scientific literature, interviews, articles, and online publications, it can be concluded that contemporary improvised music is a genre characterized by a forward-looking approach, the importance of moments of engagement, a cultural and social context, and a unique discourse that disregards fixed rules. Listening to this type of music is closely related to the experience of music perception. Contemporary music requires openness to new forms of experience and unconventional sound and structural elements, and therefore, listeners must be prepared for new experiences in music perception to better understand this music. Improvised music is an art in which musicians create in real-time and react to the ideas of other musicians. It is a process that requires creativity, freedom, and spontaneity. It is important to have an open-minded attitude towards life, understand the language and structure of music, to better absorb the meaning and beauty of music. The experience of listening to improvised music can have a deep impact on the perception of cultural heritage and identity, creative abilities, and interpersonal relationships. |
