Abstract [eng] The current thesis performs the stylistic analysis and provides for the comparison of interpretations of the five first songs from Robert Schumann's Dichterliebe (A Poet's Love), Song Cycle for Voice and Piano, Op. 48. The first Chapter/Section reviews the first vocal/song cycles of the Composer. Furthermore, a brief summary/synopsis of each cycle, which was created in 1840, is presented in this Chapter/Section. The greater focus is dedicated to the review of the song cycle A Poet's Love. The review includes the theme of the cycle, tonal structure of the songs, and character. The Annex/Appendix offers the translation of the songs from the German into the Lithuanian language. The second Chapter/Section presents the stylistic piece analysis of the first five songs of the cycle. Tonal structure, form, and dynamics of the pieces is also analysed. Furthermore, this work compares musical interpretations of the aforementioned songs. Three pairs of performers were selected for them: Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau (baritone) and Vladimir Horowitz (piano); Fritz Wunderlich (baritone) and Hubert Giesen (piano); Thomas Hampson (baritone) and Geoffrey Parsons (piano). The comparison of interpretations was particularly focused on the expression/conveyance of emotions, agogics, and rubato.
