Jules massenet opera ,,Manon‘‘: the role of manon. the main character of this opera is manon, which poses a challenge not only for young performers. throughout the opera, the role of manon changes from the character of a naive young girl to the image of a mature, bright woman. It is necessary to properly prepare not only the vocal, but also the dramaturgical line of the character. problematic question of the thesis: what is the most suitable voice type and stage experience for the best performance of the role of manon? by analyzing literature and interpretations of the two performers, it was clarified the most suitable voice type for playing the role of manon is a lyric-coloratura soprano. it is not recommended to sing this role for a young singers. |
