Abstract [eng] |
In this work, the process of sustainable development is investigated, emphasizing the balanced implementation in organizations of its three dimensions – economic, social, and ecological. It analyzes how sustainable development, encompassing not only financial success but also aspects of societal well-being and environmental protection, can ensure the efficiency and competitive advantage of companies in the long-term perspective. The research delves into the significance of the European Union's Green Deal initiative, which promotes the integration of sustainable development to achieve continental stability and economic resilience to the impact of climate change, especially highlighting the role of the manufacturing sector. The methodology used in this work is based on the analysis, comparison, and evaluations of experts in the Lithuanian manufacturing sector of studies conducted by foreign countries' manufacturing companies. This methodology is designed to identify and evaluate factors that either drivers or hinder sustainable development and to establish their priority order, reflecting the situation in the Lithuanian manufacturing sector. Moreover, the research aims to reveal how knowledge about the Green Deal affects experts' opinions and attitudes towards sustainable development. The results of the study are intended to be used for further discussions and strategies that promote sustainable development, especially in the manufacturing sector. |
